Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice

If you are like me, we are quickly approaching your favorite season of the year...FALL!

This year I got a head start on my fall makes, which doesn't usually happen. I normally am creating for one season as it is happening, but this year I am trying to plan ahead and get my Fall inventory ready to go before the leaves begin to change.

Here in Northern Michigan, the air begins to get crisp and leaves begin to change usually around the beginning of #October. Give or take a week depending on how much the temperature varies. And we begin decorating for this beloved season around the same time.

So far this year, my favorite thing to make for fall has been PUMPKINS! It is only the middle of August and they have already been selling like hotcakes. If you are a maker and #pumpkins are on your list of to-dos I highly recommend getting started now.

I make my pumpkins with worsted weight yarn, a size 4.5 crochet hook, Poly-fil stuffing, and a #LakeMichigan. I used this rustic pumpkin pattern from howtomakes.org as a starting pattern, and adapted from there. That pattern can be found here.

I complete mine with a pumpkin leaf emblazoned with logo from Kathys Kozies. You can order yours from her #Etsy store here.

No matter what #crochetpattern you use (and there are a lot of them out there, many of which are free) get to making! People love their #falldecor, myself included.
